Tucked in the lap of the marvellous Himalayas, Sikkim is one of the smallest states in our country. The charismatic state is located at an elevation of 8,658 ft above sea level in the eastern Himalayas bordered by the Tibet Autonomous Region of China to north and northeast, by Bhutan to the southeast, by West Bengal to the south and by Nepal to the west.

It is recognized for a mesmerizing view of stunning sunrise as well as for capturing the panorama between Mt. Kanchendzong and Mount Everest along with others Himalayas. It is located 13kms away from Darjeeling Town.
It is a beautiful high altitude lake located at an altitude of 17100 feet. The Gurudongmar Lake is one of the top 15 highest lakes in the world. This lake is a prime tourist destination in Sikkim as well as in India because of its wonderful ambiance and breathtaking beauty. The Lake is located at a distance of about 121 km away from Gangtok, near a small beautiful village named Lachen.
It is a Pass which is present at a height of 14140 feet and along the Indo China Border. It is the best place to be for the trekking and sightseeing purpose while visiting Sikkim. The entry is strictly restricted to Indians only due to security reasons. The border trade market here, Sherathang, is one of the most popular points among travelers here.
It is a high altitude village which stands at an high altitude of about 8600 ft. It is a beautiful village which some beautiful background that surrounds it. It is about 6 hours from Gangtok but the risky road conditions may result in delay. Though it is really tough for a tourist to reach Lachung village, the journey and the destination is a really unique experience you shouldn't miss.
Located at the altitude of about 12300 ft, the Tsomgo or Changu Lake is one of Sikkim's prime locations for sightseeing and tourist attractions. The Lake is also popular as Changu Lake is a picturesque glacial lake. The lake is located about 35 km from Gangtok and falls on the way to Nathula Pass. This is one of India's highest altitude glacial lakes and is rich in beauty, its surroundings and its natural beauty.
The Rumtek is the largest Monastery in Sikkim located around 23 km from Gangtok. The religious point is also a well known Dharma Chakra Centre visited by various Buddhist scholars from around the world. The monastery reflects beautiful design and pure architecture excellence. The Monastery is a preservation of the cultural and religious traditions of Buddhism for years and generations to come.
